John Carew (born 5 September 1979) is a Norwegian football player who plays for Aston Villa of England's Premier League. One of Norway's most famous football players, Carew is the son of a Gambian father and a Norwegian mother. On January 22nd 2007 John Carew signed for Aston Villa in a part-exchange deal with Olympique Lyonnais for Milan Baros. Carew penned a three-and-a-half year deal at the Birmingham-based club. John Carew will wear the number 10 jersey while playing at Aston Villa, the number left vacated by Baros' departure.
